Kay “Gramma K” Seanard 83, of Utica died on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at 8:44 PM in OSF St. Elizabeth Hospital in Ottawa
Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, November 26th at 11:00 AM in St. Mary’s Church in Utica with Rev. Driscoll officiating
Burial in St. Vincent’s Cemetery
Visitation will be on Sunday, November 25th from 5:00 - 8:00 PM with the rosary being recited at 7:45 in Burgess Funeral Home in Utica and 09:00 - 10:00 AM Monday in the Church.
She was born on March 30, 1935 in LaSalle to Fred and Tillie (Ziemba) Bacidore
She married Rudolph Komater at Queen of the Holy Church in LaSalle on November 26, 1955 and later married L.G. Seanard in Hennepin on September 18, 1971.
She retired from LaSalle County Criminal Justice Center in 1999
She served 2 terms as a Utica Village Trustee, Utica Township Trustee, and was the Hall Manager of the Utica Community Hall Board
She also served 8 years on the Utica Community Ambulance Service, was a member of the Utica Red Hats and St. Mary’s Church.
She enjoyed family get togethers, her grandsons sporting events, and eating out with the girls LEO.

1 Daughter Lori Komater of Peru
1 Son Kerry (Sue) Komater of Ottawa
2 Grandsons Taylor and Logan Komater of Ottawa
6 Step Children Terry Seanard and Ed (Teri) Seanard whom she raised from an early age
Several Step Grandchildren
1 Sister Darlene Jenkins of Utica
1 Brother Terry (Carol) Hrovat of Lasalle
Memorials may be directed to the family to be used for Marquette Academy Athletics
Pallbearers will be Taylor and Logan Komater, Mike Anderson, Mike Mounce, Dan Puetz, Chris Ryan, and Brian Porter
