Genevieve “Gen” Knafelc 88 of LaSalle passed away Oct 29 at 9:26PM in her residence with her family at her side. Per her wishes private services were held today. The Burgess Funeral Home in LaSalle handled the arrangements.
She was born in her family’s home in LaSalle on February 10, 1929 to Joseph and Frances (Zandecki) Klimek.
She married George Knafelc on April 18, 1951 in St. Hyacinth Church in LaSalle.
She was member of St. Hyacinth Church.
Raising her family and being a housewife was always her number one priority.
She is survived by; her husband
3 sons; Geoffery (Jane) Knafelc of LaSalle,
Gregory (Diane) Knafelc of LaSalle
Gene Knafelc of Addison, IL
3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren
She is preceded in death by;
Her parents, 1 daughter Georgeann (1992), 2 brothers, and 2 sisters
