Obituary for Donald E. Plochocki
Donald E. Plochocki 70 of La Salle passed away unexpectedly in his residence on October 29 at 9:40 AM. A funeral mass will be Friday November 2 in St. Hyacinth Church in La Salle at 10:00 AM. The Very Reverend Paul Carlson Pastor of La Salle Catholic Churches will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Hyacinth Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday November 1 in the Burgess Funeral Home in La Salle from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM. A scripture service will be at 4:15 PM. Additional visitation will be in the church on Friday from 9:00 AM until the time of services.
He was born on February 29, 1948 in La Salle to Vincent “Dokes” and Sophie (Huczek) Plochocki.
He married Luanne Shaw on May 1, 1971 in St. Hyacinth Church in La Salle.
He was a member of St. Hyacinth Church.
He was the Owner / President of Ronken Industries in Spring Valley for 38 years. He worked for Electric Utilities in La Salle for 10 years.
Don had many outstanding traits throughout his life. He was a loving husband for 47 years, great father to his sons, his love for his family and friends, and dedicated to his work. He would describe it as a seed. He planted it, he overseen its growth and it blossom for him into success. In his pastime he would enjoy following the Cubbies, Bears the Bradley Braves and horse racing with a little wagering. He never turned down a game of euchre. He always found time on the weekends to watch an old western.
He is survived by his wife
2 Sons: Donald (Nicole) Plochocki of Peru, and Deric Plochocki of Peru.
3 Brothers: Vincent Jr. “Butchie" (Patricia) Plochocki of La Salle, John (Doreen) Plochocki of La Salle, and Rick (Lori) Plochocki of Peru.
1 Sister: Kathy (Donald) Wlodarchak of La Salle
Several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother James (2013)
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family for his favorite charities.
